New Year? you already know...
its so hard to keep in touch these days the old-fashioned way isn't it? I can't tell you how I loathe sending messages through (insert your fave social networking site name) and pretending its really doing the job of "keeping-in-touch." Now I won't sit here and try to convince you my 2 ppl audience that writing letters on sheets of recycled (hopefully) paper is my preference these days but let's just say I'm still more of a traditional phone-call away person.
texting is still fairly impersonal. but somehow it works for some...somehow.
How do you deal with feeling slept-on? Do you think/believe that everyone has their time to shine? How do you cope with when ppl even in your camp seem passive towards what you do, but still "support" you but mainly 'cos they're fam and if it were the other way round prolly not show you any love whatsoever?
I'm back (for the time being y'all)

Man. Talk about keeping the love.
One thing that used to bother me the most as a writer was, am I as good as people in my inner circle lead me on to be?
Or are they just saying that because they are my inner circle?
At first, I thought that having a blog and spreading the name out there would get me noticed, you know? Then I started to realize that not everybody wants to leave a message/comment/criticism.
I KNOW everybody get their 15 minutes of fame. Everybody. Now, the question is, however, has your 15 passed you by, or has it not come up yet?
By the way, welcome back, bro. We missed you.
you're finally back...
as for your actual questions. i haven't had to face the situation head-on yet... from what i gather, folks are usually interested in what i partake in and what i drop. writing has been slow, still got the 2nd book on the back burner, but when i release it, hopefully i'll get the same love i've been getting. *sighs* i hope people aren't playing this role with me and i'm totally unaware. ugh... that would suck seriously.
welcome back~
@she hate: I'm saying man..I KNEW for a fact that some in my inner circle were telling me the music was dope just 'cos we were friends, it wasn't until i guess after more releases and a bit of accolade and live performing they saw, "wait a minute, this guy is actually GOOD" or even revisiting albums..
I feel you on spreading the word. One of the reasons I haven't been so adamant about putting this blog name out there was 'cos for me this is my private haven for expression and if only 2 of you (tre and yourself) consistently comment is fine with me.
@tre: I'm waiting for that second book mama!
